Waipu Celtic Barn

The Waipu Barn was designed to accommodate a variety of groups and activities.  These included events as diverse as the annual Art ‘n’ Tartan awards to the Waipu street market; as such, it needed to be flexible.  Being a building designed specifically for the local community, it needed to incorporate the Celtic spirit which is integral to the history of Waipu.

Constructed by Trigg Construction, the Celtic Barn is built from precast concrete panel, with a weatherboard cladding, and large verandas externally.  Internally are hardwood trusses, with acoustic wall and ceiling linings.
