Hora Hora Primary School New Classroom Block

This building is a two storey classroom block, with external veranda access at both levels.  Hawthorn Geddes provided architectural and engineering design, as well as geo-technical.  Concrete was used to provide the required fire separations as well as for durability reasons.  Interior colour schemes were done by our in-house interior designer.

The block was constructed from precast concrete panel with unispan suspended floor and steel frame roof structure.  Infill walls were constructed from light timber frame and clad with timber weatherboard cladding.  The roof was clad in long-run profiled metal.
